About the designer

Tracy Fredkin and Doug Nejame

Born in Los Gatos, California, Designer Tracy Fredkin was always an entrepreneur at heart. Growing up she regularly helped her grandfather at the family company and ran several of her own mini-enterprises until she left for college on the East Coast. She studied business at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and went on to work on Wall Street in New York City post-graduation. She later earned her law degree from UCLA School of Law and spent a few years adding to her business background by practicing in the field of corporate and entertainment transactions. She has always loved and been inspired by fashion, especially handbags, and could never find just what she wanted at her favorite stores. From her frustration and desire to have just the handbag that she wanted, the concept for Tucker Paisley was born.

In September 2006, Tracy combined her love of fashion with her business savvy and launched Tucker Paisley's signature line in Los Angeles. The concept behind the line is to develop unique accessories for everyday women that are classy, chic and comfortable. Her current creations have been spotted on the arms of Katherine Heigl, Heidi Klum and Hayden Panettiere to name a few. The current collections are carried in high-end boutiques across the country, including Fred Segal Melrose, and in the UK and Europe. In the coming year, Tracy has plans to both add exciting new handbag styles to the line as well as expand the Tucker Paisley signature print into new accessories for men and women.
